Fly into San Jose del Cabo (SJD) or La Paz (LAP) and fly out of Loreto (LTO). Ground transportation via taxi or airport shuttle bus.
This 7-day expedition explores the central Sea of Cortez between La Paz and Loreto—one of the most unique and rewarding cruising grounds in the world. January and February offer ideal conditions, with steady winds, warm waters, and excellent visibility.
The route takes you through a network of islands, anchorages, and protected waters, offering a mix of short passages, anchoring opportunities, and open-water sailing. This is an ideal environment to build real cruising experience while enjoying some of the most scenic and remote landscapes in Baja.
Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience in navigation, anchoring, sail handling, weather awareness, onboard systems, and day-to-day cruising routines—with plenty of opportunity to explore remote anchorages, go hiking, and snorkel.
